Dr. Jimmy Jo is the founder of Touch of Life Physical Therapy and Acupuncture, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He is also a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), making him uniquely qualified with dual licensure in both physical therapy and acupuncture. In addition, he is a clinical instructor credentialed by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
He specializes in TMJ physical therapy and dry needling in NYC, with a focus on combining hands-on treatment and advanced techniques to help patients reduce pain and return to normal activity more efficiently.

Dr. Jo has a strong interest in treating spine and disc-related conditions, believing that many cases can be reversed with targeted therapeutic exercise, posture correction, and specialized manual therapy. He trained at the McKenzie Institute with a focus on spine and disc rehabilitation.
As both a physical therapist and acupuncturist, Dr. Jo integrates osteopathic manual therapy, dry needling, and Japanese acupuncture (Kiiko method) to restore connective tissue health, improve alignment, and balance the nervous system. He has particular expertise in helping dancers, musicians, and athletes recover from chronic injuries through advanced myofascial release techniques.
Dr. Jo’s holistic approach combines evidence-based physical therapy with osteopathic and Eastern medicine principles. Passionate about helping others, he puts his heart into every case. Outside the clinic, he practices Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai and enjoys reading about health and history.
