Dr. Delaney Richards, DPT

Dr. Delaney Richards is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, and Pilates-based corrective exercise in NYC. She also specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy, treating patients with pelvic health concerns, core dysfunction, and postural imbalances.

Originally from Southern California, she grew up performing and competing in dance and figure skating, which provided her with a strong foundation in technique, alignment, and injury prevention. Her early experience teaching dance continues to influence her approach, allowing her to guide athletes and active individuals toward more efficient, coordinated, and sustainable movement.

She works extensively with dancers, musicians, and athletes at both recreational and professional levels, using advanced myofascial trigger point therapy to release deep adhesions and scar tissue and improve overall movement quality.

She has also completed continuing education in pelvic health through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, further expanding her ability to support patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, core weakness, and related conditions.

She is currently completing her Pilates certification, which she has already integrated into her treatment approach with strong clinical results. She believes that Pilates benefits every individual by improving posture, functional strength, and overall flexibility. With her background in dance instruction, Dr. Richards excels at helping patients achieve efficient movement through precise cueing and Pilates-based movement principles.
